MY WORKSHOP (“we,” “our,” or “us”) is committed to protecting the privacy and personal information of all clients, coachees, sponsoring organizations, website visitors, and service users — regardless of where they are located in the world. This Privacy Policy describes what personal information we collect, how we use and disclose it, the method of that disclosure, and the security practices we have in place to safeguard it.


This policy is written in compliance with Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA) and Québec’s Act Respecting the Protection of Personal Information in the Private Sector (Law 25 / Loi 25). Clients in the EU/EEA may also have rights under the GDPR, which we respect. Clients in the United States and other jurisdictions are served in accordance with applicable laws compatible with Canadian law.

MY WORKSHOP is a professional coaching, facilitation, and leadership training practice operated by Yasmina EL Babarti Jimenez (Int’l CPC – CBC – CELC), a sole proprietor based in Montréal, Québec, Canada. We serve individuals, corporations, government departments, Crown corporations, non-profit organizations, and international institutions across Canada and worldwide.

2. WHO THIS POLICY APPLIES TO

This policy applies to all individuals whose personal information we handle, including:

  • Coachees (Clients): Individuals receiving coaching or training services directly.
  • Sponsors: Employers, organizations, or third parties who engage and fund coaching or training on behalf of a coachee. The sponsor and coachee may or may not be the same person.
  • Website visitors: Anyone who visits myworkshopmycoach.com.
  • Prospective clients: Individuals or organizations who contact us for information about our services.


Important — Sponsored Engagements: When a coachee is sponsored by their employer or a third-party organization, we maintain strict confidentiality between the content of coaching sessions and the sponsoring party. The sponsor is informed only of administrative matters (e.g., session attendance, engagement status) as agreed in the coaching contract, unless the coachee provides explicit written consent for broader disclosure.

3. INFORMATION WE COLLECT

We collect personal information only to the extent necessary to deliver our services. This may include:

  • Identity information: Full name, job title, and organization.
  • Contact information: Email address, phone number, and mailing or business address.
  • Professional and coaching information: Goals, challenges, opportunities, and information shared during alignment calls, coaching sessions, or through the Client Prep Form.
  • Sponsor information: Name, organization, and contact details of the sponsoring employer or third-party funder, where applicable.
  • Financial information: Billing details, invoicing records, preferred currency (CAD, USD, EUR, or other), and payment transaction data processed via Stripe or e-transfer. We do not store full payment card numbers.
  • Session records: With explicit consent, sessions may be recorded for coach mentoring or ICF certification evaluation.
  • Technical data: IP address, browser type, and pages visited on our website, collected through standard analytics.
  • Communications: Messages sent via email, contact forms, or scheduling tools (e.g., Calendly / Microsoft Teams).

4. HOW WE USE YOUR INFORMATION

We use personal information for the following purposes:

  • To deliver executive coaching, leadership facilitation, and training services as agreed in a signed contract or SOW.
  • To communicate about sessions, scheduling, invoices, and service updates.
  • To process payments in the agreed currency and issue invoices and receipts.
  • To maintain professional records as required by law and ICF ethical standards.
  • To support coach training, mentoring, or ICF certification activities — only with prior written consent.
  • To respond to inquiries submitted through our website, email, or phone.
  • To improve our services and website experience.
  • To comply with legal, regulatory, or contractual obligations.


We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making, profiling, or targeted advertising.

5. FAITH-BASED AND VALUES-SENSITIVE ENGAGEMENTS

MY WORKSHOP serves clients of all beliefs, faiths, cultural backgrounds, values, and diversity dimensions. We offer both faith-based, Christ-centred coaching and non-faith-based coaching and training, at the explicit request of the client or sponsoring organization. Any preference shared is treated as personal information, held in strict confidence, and used solely to tailor the experience to the client’s needs. It is never disclosed to third parties without consent.

6. DISCLOSURE OF YOUR INFORMATION

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information. Limited disclosure occurs only in the following circumstances:

  • Service providers: Third-party platforms including Stripe (payments), Calendly (scheduling), Microsoft Teams (virtual sessions), and standard email and cloud storage tools.
  • Sponsoring organizations: We share only administrative information (e.g., attendance, session completion) as specified in the coaching agreement. Session content remains confidential to the coachee unless written consent is given.
  • ICF mentors or evaluators: Recorded session content may be shared with a coach mentor or ICF evaluation team for certification purposes, only with the coachee’s prior written consent.
  • Legal requirements: If required by law, court order, regulatory authority, or where disclosure is necessary to prevent serious harm.

7. METHOD OF DISCLOSURE

Where disclosure to third parties is required or authorized, it occurs through the following methods:

  • Encrypted electronic transmission via email or secure platform-based sharing.
  • Written progress summaries or administrative reports provided directly to the authorized sponsor contact, as defined in the engagement agreement.
  • Automated API transmission to payment and scheduling service providers at the time of transaction (e.g., Stripe).
  • Recorded session files shared via secure, agreed channels with ICF mentors or evaluators, with prior written consent.


We take reasonable steps to ensure all recipients of personal information maintain adequate protection consistent with this policy.

8. INTERNATIONAL DATA TRANSFERS

MY WORKSHOP serves clients globally. Where personal information is transferred outside Canada — including to the United States or European Union — we take steps to ensure it is protected to a standard comparable to Canadian privacy law. Third-party platforms we use (such as Stripe and Microsoft) maintain their own international data transfer safeguards. If you have questions about cross-border data handling specific to your jurisdiction, please contact us.

9. RETENTION OF INFORMATION

We retain personal information only as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, and professional reporting requirements. Client records are generally retained for a minimum of seven (7) years. You may request earlier deletion of certain data, subject to our legal and professional obligations.

10. SECURITY PRACTICES

We take the security of your personal information seriously. Safeguards include:

  • Password protection and multi-factor authentication on all business accounts.
  • Use of reputable, industry-standard platforms (Stripe, Google Workspace, Microsoft Teams) with their own security certifications.
  • Encrypted storage and transmission (TLS/SSL) for digital communications and files.
  • Access to personal information is limited to the sole proprietor and contracted service providers under confidentiality obligations.
  • Regular review of access permissions and software security updates.


No method of data transmission or storage is 100% secure. In the event of a privacy breach posing a real risk of significant harm, we will notify affected individuals and, as required, the OPC or the CAI (Québec).

11. COOKIES AND WEBSITE ANALYTICS

Our website may use cookies and similar tracking technologies for basic analytics and site functionality through our website host (GoDaddy). You may disable cookies through your browser settings. We do not use third-party advertising cookies or cross-site tracking technologies.

12. YOUR RIGHTS

Depending on your location, you may have the right to:

  • Know what personal information we hold about you and request access to it.
  • Request corrections to inaccurate or incomplete information.
  • Withdraw consent for use of your information (subject to legal or contractual limitations).
  • Request deletion of your personal information where no overriding obligation requires retention.

  • File a complaint with the OPC, the CAI (Québec), or your local data protection authority.
